MOTHER’S DAY FUN: MUSHROOM FARM TOUR, PICNIC & GOURMET GRAZING Kick off your Mother’s Day with a fascinating tour of Richmond Mushrooms at beautiful Doonbah, near Evans Head. Proud owners, Matt and Kylie, will guide you through their farm, sharing all the secrets of how their delicious mushrooms are grown. At the end of the tour, you’ll also have the chance to pick your own mushrooms (depending on availability). How cool is that? Once your tour is over, relax, unwind in nature and get ready for a gourmet grazing experience brought to you by Two Tarts Eats & Treats - a local catering business led by the talented Zena. Zena will be serving up mouthwatering gourmet grazing boxes, made with love, and using fresh, local ingredients, including mushrooms from…you guessed it…Richmond Mushrooms. Zena’s delicious offerings will include: + Lennox Smokehouse smoked chicken, mushroom and leek tart + Mushroom pâté + Mini cheese and herb loaves + Antipasto delights like balsamic-marinated roasted mushrooms, charred eggplant, grilled zucchini, and more! + Assorted cheeses (Cheddar, Brie and Truffle Manchego) + Delicious cold cuts from a local farm (if available) + Crackers galore to accompany all the treats So spread out on a cozy picnic blanket (please bring) and enjoy a leisurely afternoon with family and friends, overlooking the stunning greenery of the Bundjalung National Park.
