McFarlane Sugarcane Farm Tour

Program: Meet and greet, machinery inspection, farm walk, morning tea.
Alister and Helen own and farm Yakaloo, some 240 hectares of land on Woodford Island, the largest inland island in the Southern Hemisphere, working with their full time Farm Manager, Luke Moloney. The sugarcane, when harvested is sent to the nearby Harwood Sugar Mill. Meet Alister, Helen and Luke on-farm for a firsthand introduction to the NSW sugar industry. Get up close to some of the key farming machinery and equipment used in modern-day cane farming and walk amongst the sugarcane and soybean crops on the farm. Catering is included in your tour with a locally made selection of sweet treats.
Note: This is a working property, so please wear covered, flat shoes suitable for walking on uneven ground. Amenities may be limited on site.
Ticket Price: $10.00 includes morning tea. All funds are donated to charity.
